Rare Natural Tanzanite Crystal Cluster Shown in the enlarged photos above is a totally untreated natural crystal cluster of Tanzanite from Merilani Tanzania. Tanzanite is a form of Zoisite only found in Tanzania. Most Tanzanite is heat treated to bring out the violet color and much of it is brown. 2017 Update: I was able to bring home several Tanzanites from the East Coast Gem & Mineral Show. It is said that Tanzanite Enhances/Strengthens psychic abilities and communication with spiritual guides. Robert Simmons, coauthor of The Book of Stones, considers Tanzanite to be one of the Synergy Seven stones. This Tanzanite measures 1" by 11/16" by 3/8 and weighs 23.75 carats.

Untreated Tanzanite is trichroic and can change color depending on the light source. This particular cluster has varying colors of brown, gold, blue and violet depending on how you view it under light and the type of lighting.
