CROCOITE on GOETHITE: Adelaide Mine, Dundas, West Coast municipality, Tasmania, Australia. Dimensions: 4.9 x 4.7 x 2.8cm, miniature. This is a very rich and vibrant, red-orange specimen of Crocoite from the Adelaide Mine in Tasmania featuring an abundance very lustrous, prismatic crystals with their classic color. The stunning, highly lustrous, color-saturated Crocoite crystals occur in divergent sprays that are richly clustered with crystals varying between 0.5 and 2.5cm in length, averaging about 1.2cm. Many of the crystals are skeletal with hollow cores and some are terminated, but many are not.

The Crocoite crystals sit nicely on a contrasting brown gossan matrix. This is a vibrant cluster easily seen across the room in a display. Please note that I will pack this very well and regardless of how well it's pack it will inherently shed a few crystals or crystal fragments.
