This rare set of clip earrings by Christian Dior are attributed to Mitchel Maer for Henkel & Grosse. Titled "Bal des Oiseaux" in 1956, this early set depicts bronze birds holding rhinestone olive branches. The brilliant design recalls typical motifs of the period predating the famous bird- embellished dress worn by Leslie Caron in Gigi two years later.
