Dark Amethyst Quartz Crystal Geode Section. This is a superb large section of very high quality Uruguayan Amethyst Quartz Crystal.

It is a section from an Amethyst Geode and the base is smooth cut so it is stable and freestanding. The piece has been polished on the edges to enhance the banding and layers. The crystals have numerous very well defined deep purple colour points with superb clarity. It is a lovely shape which can be displayed either upright or lengthways. Amethyst from Uruguay is renowned for its deep violet purple colour and fine crystal shape and this specimen is a fine example.

The piece weighs 2166g/ 4lb 12oz and measures 15cm high x 7.5cm wide x 5.5cm deep.
